Suggest Treatment For Large Knot And Swelling Of Skin After Injury

I fell on slippery wooden steps over a year ago. I had two outpatient surgeries to have the hematoma drained. It is still a large knot there and it seems to swell (fluid retention) but my surgeon said when I went to my final appt that it was ok????? What can I do to help this?
