Suggest Treatment For Left Mild Hearing Loss And Nasal Congestion

I have suffered since child hood with left mild hearing loss but tested negative. Only recently do I believe that the problem may be ear congestion as I always have significant problems with altitude and flying. To complicate matters I have never been able to breath through both nostrils at the same time and congestion seems to alternate from one side to the other. I have family members on may dads side that have the same nasal problems only and do not believe it is allergy related although I have a very mild deviated septum. Any thoughts on diagnosis?
