Suggest Treatment For Lump On The Neck Behind The Ear

I have a lump in my neck about 2 inches behind my ear and 1 inch in front of my hair line. It has been here for a while, and is hard in texture. It s underneath my skin, as I can lift my skin up above the lump. The lump is around 0.5 inches across. It is hurt very slightly if I press on it. I haven t been sick in a couple months, but I have spring allergies. It s probably nothing, but should I go to the doctor?
