Suggest Treatment For Macular Degeneration In Eye

I have macular degeneration in right eye and been under care for some years for injections of betadine. Yesteday, as doctor prepared for injection she put a drop in my and then immediately injected - a severe buring effect insued and flusing of eye was made. This morning the eye was glued shut - have suffered pain continually. She says this can happen but if it isn t better soon to make an appointment. My question is whether the cornea has now been scared and will it get better with time?
