Suggest Treatment For Memory Loss Caused Due To Cerebral Infarction

My Mom age 89, weight 118 suffered a ceberal infraction, after 8 weeks of pt, ot, she is doing somewhat better but left side very weak, her memory is getting worse for all recent short term things. 3 months prior to this event, she walked 1/2 mile a day unassisted, and had done this every day for over 25 years. She had no memory issues, and no physical limitations at all Can you tell me what type of doctor we need to treat her, or have the brain cells died, and this is the result of this infraction?
