Suggest Treatment For Menstrual Cramps

Hi, I m female and I m 18, I had a marina coil fitted for medicinal purposes a couple of years ago. recently I have been coming onto my periods, with really painful pains, I don t know weather to go to a doctor and have it checked or just ask if I can have it removed now (if the medicinal reasons have worked), the trouble is, when I had it fitted I was 15/16.. and therefore was put to sleep using aesthetics while having it inserted, at the time I questioned how it would be removed through the same process? and I was told this would be discussed when the time came. I don t want to have it removed while I am awake..
