Suggest Treatment For Metallic Taste In The Tongue

Some background. I used to drink a lot and had SEVERE heartburn (not the throat kind but burning stomach) that i'm 100% sure was caused by alcohol. I used to have to take a zantac everyday (sometimes twice) to get past the pain. I haven't had to take any since i quit drinking (on day 4 now!) but notice when i burp it tastes metallic or blood like. I have black stools at the moment though fairly loose still. I have been staying away from pop period. Have my two coffee's in the morning and drink water all day (or a glass or two of milk at night).

I'm concerned that I might have developed an ulcer or perhaps something else is wrong. Please Help me!
