Suggest Treatment For Migraine And Headache

Hi, my husband is dx with abdominal migraines for 15 years, he is 39 years old 5ft 11 in, weighs 155 pounds, and is otherwise healthy. He has a long hx of frequent, severe abdominal pains after migraine headache, followed by vomiting for up to 72 hours. He was just started on atenolol for it. He was taking Lortab 4 times daily and it controlled his attacks better than anything ever has, but of course he became dependant and eventually needed/wanted to take more. He is trying to get off of the Lortab, but now is concerned that his migraine attacks will return as severe as they were before treatment with Lortab. What are your thoughts on this, and are you familiar with any other treatment for abdominal migraines. He also takes Neurontin. Thank you.
