Suggest Treatment For Migraine

my husband was sucker-punched in the left side of the head about 18 years ago...since then, he's always had a knot. However, he's been battling migraines for about 6 years now and I've noticed that everytime he takes a bad migraine, that knot is swollen and tender. Any ideas?
