Suggest Treatment For Mucoid Cyst On Knuckle Of Finger

A recent visit to a dermatologist suggested that I had a mycoid cyst on the knuckle of a finger on my right hand. The nurse advised that I needed to see a hand surgeon for assistance. I am struggling with the spelling of the diagnosis and I am not sure what to do. The cyst appears on the top of the knuckle and is pea sized. It feels hard but is moveable from side to side. Any suggestions?
