Suggest Treatment For Neck Sprain

Hi, I have a spinal injury from a long time ago. The other day, I think I strained my neck. I won't be able to really see a specialist for a month. It hurts when I put my head back or side to side. I want to get a neck brace until that. Is that a good idea?
