Suggest Treatment For Numbness And Severe Pain In Feet

I have numbness on both feet. On the under side of each foot on toe pads and the flat part of the foot. Occassionally I experience stabbing pain in my toes.Example of numbness, last night I slipped and my big toe hit the study desk. Lifted my toe nail and there was hardly any pain, in fact close to nothing. I'm sure that should have hurt a lot.Please advise
