Suggest Treatment For Numbness In Hands While Having Arthritis

My mom's hands get numb at night because of arthritis. She has taken medication before and she can't take it all the time because of other medications she takes. I have heard of some kind of soft gloves that people can put on and they are warm and help with this. Is this true? Or there is something else over the counter that she can use? This happens at night most of the time and my sister thinks that the air condition because is so cold is not helping. I just want to help her sleep better and hopefully she doesn't wake up all night with her hands numbed. Thank you!
