Suggest Treatment For Ovarian Cyst

My last normal period was 6/2013. I am 50 years old will be 51 next month. No spotting since then. I started bleeding on Thursday last week, went to my PCP whom I work for, had a PAP, which hasn't came back yet. Was sent to GYN, had a transvaginal US was told that my uterus lining was 6.38 and I have a ovarian cyst that is 2.5 cm on my left ovary. She did BX which haven't came back yet. I am a LPN that works in a family clinic and don't have any experience with this kind of stuff. I have looked up these problems online and just would like to know what are some of the options that I maybe looking at.... Just worried and going nuts waiting... was told it will take a week for the results of the BX to come back, which was done on Friday..
