Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling On Lower Back Caused From An Injury

I slipped and fell down a flight of steps 2 days ago. I landed on the left side of my butt and have a big dark purple bruise going all the way across that side and swelling above that buttock and on the upper outside of my leg. When I fell the pain in my left hip was excruciating and I first i was sure it was broken but after a few minutes I was able to get up. I am able to walk and move around although I am very sore from my lower back down into the back of my thigh on that side especially after I stand and walk for awhile. I don t want to go to the dr for bruising and wondered what I could do for the pain and to speed the healing
