Suggest Treatment For Pain Due To Herniated Disc

hi I herniated l3-4 9mo ago. I have had 2 microdiscs and my spine collapsing had l3-4 fusion with major bilat thighpain put on 75micg fentanyl with 10/325 oxycodone q4 and valium 30mg qid. Confused about fentanyl patch I get relly out of it with serious dreams I can sleep for 2 days. not sure am I to take oxy anyway of when its hurting andwhenit does its bad. alsomy comfort is heating pad and warmjacuzzui which just read not good for elevated body temp. Explain this breakthrought- isn't the goal is to take less to no meds the 3 days on patch? But for me I am out cold I dont eat or drink for 2 days which is not right. help me with these meds and where to put them , them hot warm water is such apain reliever.
