Suggest Treatment For Pain Due To Umbilical Hernia

I have been diagnosed with a umbilical hernia, I have had sevier pain and burnt for weeks to the point where pain meds quit working ,
I can't eat,or even sleep. Have been to the er once but they sent me home saying call the doctor it wasn't a emergency. My appointment is still a month away, and my pain is so bad tonight I can't walk and am vomiting. Should I go to the er? Will they even do anything?
