Suggest Treatment For Pain In Back Due To Falling Down

I fell down two or three carpeted steps two days ago and my upper right back is still very sore; immediately is was extremely painful but it has begun to ease off except for this particular area. I am 65 years old and have been diagnosed with osteopenia.
Should I see a doctor or go to a medical aid unit or ER?
