Suggest Treatment For Pain In Belly Button

I have had belly button pain for the last week will a growth which started to bleed. I went in and the doc said I had a granuloma, he put some silver nitrate on it and sent me on my way. I am a 26 year old female and I started to research this granuloma and found that there are many underlying reasons for having had it. My general abdominal area is still sore. What do you suppose I had, or have and should I see my own doc? (Previously I had to go to the express care due to the holiday weekend) Thank You!
