Suggest Treatment For Pain In Groin After Hip Replacement Surgery

i had hip replacement dec 17th...now my groin still hurts and doctor is wanted me to have long needle with cortisone under xray injected to see if groin would stop hurting...I am limping as of yet after hip replacement surgery..i am having a popping in groin and hip in bed and standing straight for a while.....if pain quits with injection, doctor would like me to have tendon cut...never heard of this..what are pros and cons
