Suggest Treatment For Pain In Left Side And Shoulder Blade

i have a dull pain down my left side and my left arm gets pins & needles and is very painful and my muscles hurt at the top of my arm, shoulder blade and my neck clicks. I think its a trapped nerve. would there be any other reason why my doctors told me to get a chest xray?
