Suggest Treatment For Pain In Sternum

Right below my sternum i have a strong pain. I also got a small bump feels like a goose egg. The pain shoots out from it through my ribs and in my stomach. It even shoots to my back below my shoulder blades. Anything i should worry about or is it good to just rest up a couple of days and if not better then go to a doctor.
