I was treated with antibiotics, steroid cocktail shot and cough med recently. I finished my last antibiotic this past Sat. I had a bad sinus infection. My question is; the back of my tongue hurts. It hurts just sitting here. Hurts worse when I swallow. It feels like it's been beaten up! Bruised is the only other way I know to describe it.
I had a very bad viral infection last year and experienced this same thing with my tongue. My MD sent me to an ENT. He looked down my throat with a light. He said my tongue was swollen, but he did nit know why only it could be early signs of arthritic issues. It took threes weeks for it to finally get better.
Do you think this is related to last years episode?!
