Suggest Treatment For Painful And Bulging Hernia During Pregnancy

my daughter is 16 yrs old and 16 weeks pregant she has a bulging hernia and its causing pain when she is walking and turning or any movement. she saw her doctor last week and we was told that it would not hurt the baby. i would like to know what to do to ease her pain or should i take her to the emergency room?
