Hi, I am 18 years of age next month and have been suffering on and off with pains emanating from dents that are increasing in length and depth on my scalp. The pains are at their worse when they are growing longer, or , wider. At the moment it feels like a migraine from the dents into my eye and down the back of my neck. The dents are extremely painful to touch and feel like long grooves. This is the third one. It feels itchy, sometimes, but I cannot scratch it because that makes the pain more intense. This morning it was so painful it gave me a sensation that felt like it was wet from bleeding, but it was not. I saw a specialist via NHS over a year ago and it was confirmed, via ex-rays, that the grooves were not bone deep. the consultant was baffled because she stated that she had dealt with similar matters only with babies and very young children and their problem was based on the bones in the scalp not fusing properly as it should do as we grow. I have very thick hair, so it is difficult to see. I look forward to hear any suggestions. My email address is YYYY@YYYY . I have written this on behalf of my daughter, who will be missing yet another day from college because of this. Kind regards Joanne Phillips
