Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump Near Scrotum

I have a lump not connected to my testicle causing me aching pain and has been acute for days at a time getting no answers from doctors. Recently had bi-lateral hernia surgery since then something is not right don't know if connected. Ultrasound was inconclusive for cause but ruled out epididymitis. This hurts as bad as kidney stones for 4 days and has subsided to a dull ache that has not gone away since surgery and including swollen lymph nodes in groin. Any help or point me in the right direction please. Very scared and worried and the ultrasound was not done very well as cold gel pulled all tight and the lump was not detected when I can clearly feel it and feel it intensely at times. Help please Surgery was mid November still a problem spent Christmas in agony better now just achy!
