Suggest Treatment For Painful Shoulder Blades Radiating To Armpit

I am a 45 year old in female that very good health under no doctor care and take no medications. I have a yearly medical exam for my job with the Merchant Marines. I am experiencing on both sides between my shoulder blades what fells like knots but can't be seen. It is very painful and it is a burning nerve pain that starts from arm pits to my elbows then to my hands all the way down to my finger tips. My hands and fingers stay numb and burn all the time. When my husband rubs both the areas it slows the pain down, I can tilt my head and look at the floor I feel the knots pull and it almost stops the pain. I have a hard time just to write with a pen now. I wake up everyday and now I can't even bend my fingers they are in a curled position and now stay swollen and burn like fire all the time.My hands also have a deep itch. I am scared it will cause permanent damage. I would like to see what you think it could be and also fine out what kind of doctor I need to go to Thank you
