Suggest Treatment For Persistent Ear Infection

i have had ear infection for a week or more now ive been on amoxicillan which never worked. i am now taking my first course of flucloxoacillin .I have notice my eye on the same side of the ear has become blood shot but i am assuming this is from lack of sleep. should i be worried?
