Suggest Treatment For Persistent Itching And Swelling

i have persistent hives starting about 6 mos ago. started medication since 2 months ago and been prescribed telfast, claricort, cetrizin, and xyzal. the hives would respond to treatment initially and i would be free of it for about 2-3 days at the most. then the medicine would lose its effectivenes and i would again have symptoms increasing each day. i stopped taking xyzal the other day and i have huge breakouts all over my body. my doctor, who's out of town, said i take celestamine but he wasn't clear about the dosage. what is a safe dosage for this drug? when i took a 250mg tablet, it does not seem to have an effect, symptoms even worsened, it seems. would it be safe to take another tablet, to start with, just to relieve me of the swelling and the itching?
