Suggest Treatment For Pityriasis Rosea

I have suffered with pityriasis rosea since I was 17, and am now 27. Aside from sun treatment, is there any other methods out there that are having success? Lotions/Creams do not work for me, Head and Shoulders shampoo also has no change. Finally Steroid creams, while effective to some degrees, does work, the patches return almost immediately after discontinuing use.
