I need to get a professional opinion about a balloon-like pressure in my upper right quadrant. I saw 4 different doctors in the fall of 2010 including a gastroenterologist with no resolve. They treated me for ulcers with no effect, they also suggested Costochondritis and treated me for it with no effect. Another suggestion was gallstones and potential gallbladder failure, (my mother had gallstones when she was my age back in 1971 and had her gallbladder removed). I had an ultrasound on the upper right quadrant and GB Ejection Fraction (Hida Scan) both came out with normal results. Blood work including testing for ALT came out normal. Stools are normal. No other symptoms. I requested a chest xray because when one of the doctors pressed down between my ribs, but the doctor did not approve for the xray to be done. According to the gastro doctor, the only possible procedure left to be done is an endoscopy (to rule out bleeding, inflammation and/or any other abnormalities) but I cannot afford it and it is not covered by my insurance. Please advise. Pain started 8/2010 and continued until about 2/2011. Pain resumed 5/2011 through present day.
