Suggest Treatment For Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding

shaHi Doctor, I am facing menstrual bleeding recently, whereby I am experiencing not stop bleeding for the last 14 days from now. I have not experience this problem before as my menstrual cycle is regular and it will only bleed up to 5 or 6 days the maximum. I am in my late 42 now and i have no pain while my periods are on. In fact I did consulted a Doctor regards to this matter and he prescribe me to take Norelut tablets to stop m bleeding. Its actual 7 days course to imbalance my hormones to regulate my periods back to normal days which I used to have. My questions is: Does this Tablet ( Norelut) have any side effects? Will my periods would stop permanently unless if I am in the stage of menopause.What happens after I have finish the 7 days course? Please advice... Thank You Sharon
