Suggest Treatment For Raised And Red Patch On Scalp

My husband has areas on one side of his scalp. They are circular, raised, red around the edge with regular skin in the middle. They are not communicable, do not itch, and do not extend onto his body, around the perimeter of his scalp or on the right side. They excessively flake and have been there for some time even though he has used selenium sufide and zinc pyrithinone shampoos for extended amount of time. When you pick the flakes off they are watery and sometime bleed very little.
