Suggest Treatment For Raised Area With Bleeding On Head

my son has a raised area that appears like a wound with a scab on the front part of the top of his head. He has been seen by two different doctors and the conclusion was a fungal infection. Underneath the scab looking raised area it looks red and wet and if he bumps it it will bleed. Is the consistant with a fungal infection?
