Suggest Treatment For Rash And Itching In Groin Area

I have a rash on my lower stomach from my pants button and belt buckle and it itches alot. i cant help to not scratch but i know i shouldnt. it has spread lower because i scratch. what can i try to get rid of the rash without seeing a doctor, as now its a "privacy" matter?
