Suggest Treatment For Rashes And Swelling In Injection Spot

My son is 26 years old. About1 month ago he received a tetnus shot from cutting his fingers at work. Now his arm where he received the shot is red ad swollen. Is this related to the shot? He does not have insurance, so cannot afford to go to the doctor. There is no pain just red and swollen.
