Suggest Treatment For Rashes Around The Mouth

My mom has a rash that is localized to the area around her mouth. After much research on the internet we have determined that she has perioral dermatitis. The treatment is a topical antibacterial cream and I was wondering if we could use Mupirocin ointment?
