Suggest Treatment For Rashes On Knee

I injured my knee and purchased a knee support which for some unknown reason caused a rash to appear within a few hours. Upon awaking the next morning the rash has spread to my other knee. Yesterday, I purchased hydrochloride 1% cream which has helped (only used once last night). Is it okay to bath, my knees appear somewhat dry?
