Suggest Treatment For Recurring Ear Infection

My 13month granddaughter has recurrent ear infections. And recently. Had tubes put in. A week later she had infection again. Dr said she had wax buildup and scraped her ear. Four days and again ear infections. Anyway to help this poor child not get ear infections?
