Suggest Treatment For Recurring Herpes Causing Sores And Itching

Hi I felt like I was having a yeast infection but then I started getting sores. So I made a appointment to see the doctor. It took almost a week to see him. Then when I finnaly seen him he told me I had herpes. So he gave me pills to take. Then the sores went away but I was still itching. Then after the ten days were up it started to itch again and it looks like sores are coming back again. What could this could this really be??
