Suggest Treatment For Recurring Lump On Throat

in 2013 I had a benign removed from my throat. The doctor stated that it was a lump of phelm and mucus. The lump grew back. What should I do. I am a smoker for the past 35 years. I am afraid of getting cancer, but cannot quit smoking. The doctor also stated that my nose bone was curved. I saw another doctor recently and he is sending me for a endscopsy. Is that a good sign?
