Suggest Treatment For Red Blotches On The Skin

Hi, about a year and a half ago I was in a friends wedding and developed bright red splotches on my skin from where the tux touched. I had an under shirt on and my chest and back was not infected. I went to a dermotologist and he took some blood and just said it was an allergy and it would take up to 8 months to get rid of. I have these brown blotches on my legs and the tops of my feet. they sort of look like what I had with the allergy from the tux but it concerns me.
