Suggest Treatment For Redness And Swelling In Thumb After Cat Bite

Last friday, my pet cat bit me on the left thumb, almost directly on the middle joint. My thumb swelled significantly over the next couple hours. Saturday evening, after realizing the wound was badly infected, i went to an urgent care center, was seen by a doctor who simply prescribed 10 days of augmentin. Today is day 11 and the swelling on the rear of my thumb has gone down a great deal but has not improved at the wound. Still very swollen around the joint and is both red and purple, I have very limited motion in thumb and cannot bend middle joint at all without pain. I was wondering if maybe its fractured? Or is that a sign the infection has gotten into the joint itself?
