Suggest Treatment For Redness On Vaginal Area Of An Infant

My 7 month old daughter had trouble with her last bowel movement. I tried to help her and noticed that her vaginal area looked dark red so I got scared and took her to the er. They treated her for the bowel movement and sent us home. Is it because of the trouble she had pooping?
