Suggest Treatment For Red,swollen And Bleeding Ingrown Hair

Please help me. I had an ingrown hair and i plucked it. Now for 2 days it has been nothing but painful red, swelling, pussing and bleeding. Its right along my pants line so its even more painful. I can not even touch it or lay on it. I took a warm bath and it came to a big white head and when i touched it a big white ball of puss came out and now its a pen size whole all red and i can still see puss down inside of it. Does this mean its going to push the rest of what ever is in there out or is it an emergency for me to go to the doctor. I called a doctor and made an appointment for June 9th and told her one what is happening and she said its probably an ingrown and to just put neosporen on it and to keep a band-aid on it. After speaking to her is when all of this happened. Am I gonna get a Huge infection or do i already have one. I am still in a lot of pain and this has been happening since Friday.
