Suggest Treatment For Restless Leg Syndrome

Have severe RLS and was prescribed Mirapex several years ago. The side effects of this medication are devastating, I think I developed every side effect there is with this medication – compulsive spending, compulsive gambling, weight gain, memory loss, vivid strange dreams: however, the medication worked. My doctor has prescribed Gabapentin (600 mg - 2100 mg/day) along with Temazepam (30 mg @ night) and still suffering from RLS nightly. I am a 65 year old female who has suffered from RLS beginning in my 30s and increased in severity with age. Is there any other medication (w/o a dopamine agonist) used for severe RLS? I have stopped the Mirapex/Pramipexole in the past after I learned of the compulsive gambling side effect. I never gambled a day in my life before the Mirapex and it worsened with the increased dosage. Pramipexole prescription (1.5 mg) take 1 1/2 tablets twice a day which amounted to 4.5 mg/day. It took away the RLS. I ve lost so much because of the compulsive gambling and I would like to know what else is available for RLS. The Gabapentin is just not working and I m desperate!
