Suggest Treatment For Right-sided Pain In Neck Radiating Towards Head

I have a pain in my right side of my neck...going up to my right side of my head, it is not a normal neck pain, because it cause pain not to the shoulder but it goes to my back side of my ear, jaw and head. I went to the doctor with this pain like 4 months ago and he sent me a neck X-ray and everything was fine. right now I continue with the pain but I don t know what to do. It is so strong that I need to take something for the pain but I want to know what is causing this to treat it!!
