Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea

I am having a colonoscopy tomorrow to take biopsies for microscopic colitis. I have had watery diarrhea for several years but it would get better until the past 8 months. It has been constant, sometimes explosive. What will be the best steroid to take to get relief and heal up?
