Suggest Treatment For Severe Throat Infection

I was treated for a throat infection last mon with a shot of restmusion and a z pac. Sat I was getting worse so went back the nurse pract. said she could not see because I was swollen in the throat, she gave me a benadril shot and another 5 day course of amoxicillion, she told me if it got any worse to go to the er. it doesn't seem to be any worse but it certainly isn't better either I can hardly swallow. have I given the new drugstime to work or should I go to the er
