Suggest Treatment For Severe Throat Pain

I'm 39 year old male no history of drinking or smoking. I've had a chronic sore achey throat for over a year with even a little bit of ear pain. Had cat scan and throat scope all that was seen was a possible polyp. I 'm afraid that the missed something because I was given meds for allergy and reflux with little relief . I'm still afraid of cancer!!
